Chris Bakker is a Director at GASS Architecture Studios. He graduated from architecture school in 2000. Over the last twenty years he’s been involved in all types and scales of work, the biggest being the Cape Town Stadium. He sees the work he does as an ongoing process to better understand the world he lives in. He believes architecture is a field that allows him to engage with the complexities of the human existence and the environments that it shapes. He comments that the Green School project in Paarl, completed in 2001m has been one of the most humbling and biggest learning experiences of his career so far.
