After completing my studies at Tecknikon Witwatersrand in Braamfontein, I started my culinary career working under the late Walter Ulz at Linger Longer restaurant as chef de parte. I then had the opportunity to travel and work in places such as France, Germany and for the SA government Embassy in Guinea, & the Democratic Republic of Congo through the guidance of Chef Klaus Beckmann. It was in Berlin that I was given another amazing opportunity to work in a Michelin-starred restaurant (Hugo’s). I currently work with Complex Chef Gerard Vingerling at the Sandton Sun.
I have competed in numerous SACA accredited Competitions culminating in my being endorsed as a category A judge by SACA and Category B judge by the World Association for Chefs Societies ( WACS – World Chefs)
I am currently the President of the South African Chef Association and Chairman of Chefs with Compassion.
