Competition will be held in 3 rounds:

19 June, 2018 – HEATS

20 June, 2018 – SEMI FINALS

21 June, 2018 – FINALS

 

COMPETITION RULES AND REGULATIONS

Competitors should wear their work uniforms during the competition.

Wearing slippers or shorts is not allowed.

The Tunics must be worn by all participants while playing the competition.

A meeting with all the participants will be arranged a week before the competition to explain the rules of the competition and for any questions to be answered.

The date and time of the competition will be sent to participants at least a week in advance

Competitors should be present half an hour before their competition time.

Competitors who arrive late or show up on a different day will be disqualified.

The decision of the judges in all cases is final. Competitors have no right to appeal.

Competitors contravening any of the Rules and Regulations of the event will be disqualified.

The Organizers reserve the right to reject any entry, which does not comply with the rules or with any specific requirement.

The Organizers reserve the right to rescind, modify or build on any of the above rules and regulations. Their interpretation of these are final. The organizers reserve the right to limit the number of participants, modify any rules, cancel any competition, or cancel/postpone the whole competition should it be deemed necessary.

CLEANING EQUIPMENT PROVIDED

Housekeeping trolley

Fully equipped trolley with all cleaning equipment will be provided to the participants.

 

JUDGING CRITERIA

The Africa Housekeeping League of Champions competition is based on speed, accuracy and skill. The timing of the competition will begin once the judges indicate so and will be stopped as soon as the timer completes 7 minutes. The time taken to make the bed, the tidiness, and the techniques used to clean the room, the quality, the presentation and overall look performance are the main judging criteria for the competition.
