Game of Chefs Challenge

In an action-packed three-day showdown, the Game of Chefs will see eight teams of four chefs each produce a three-course menu for 15 guests. All in under two-and-a-half hour, with ingredients from a mystery basket.

Austrian-born chef- extraordinaire, Martin Kobald –  of the ChefMLK School of Cooking – is the competition director. He notes that Game of Chefs is new platform South African chefs. “This is a great opportunity for South African to compete at an international level,” says Kobal.

Culinary judge and renowned chef Jeff Schueremans joins Kobal as fellow Competition Director: “Game of Chefs is the ultimate challenge for local chefs, and will be judged in line with WorldChef judging criteria, by a panel of local and international judges”.

To enter the competition, the minimum qualification requires the team leader to be a sous-chef, with the remainder of the team made of a qualified pastry chef and two commis chefs.
