Exhibitor news: INFERNO CHARCOAL OVENS
From the moment I arrived, I fell in love with South Africa and its multiculturalism.
Around 2014 I started importing some of the best charcoal ovens and grills from Spain.
It is important to mention that Spain is worldwide known for the manufacturing of Charcoal Ovens (Hornos de Brasa).
After becoming an expert in the world of charcoal ovens, I decided to put all my knowledge and experience together to give birth to my very own charcoal oven called INFERNO.
Just before the lockdown (COVID-19), I came up with the INFERNO CHARCOAL OVEN design, and before I knew I had my first INFERNO prototype made.
It was June 2020 when INFERNO CHARCOAL OVENS was publicly launched and our first oven was sold in July 2020.
Since then we have been constantly improving the INFERNO to the point that we are currently on the 3rd Generation of INFERNO and now we can say that we manufacture one of the best charcoal ovens in the world.
In less than 1 year of life, INFERNO is represented in more than 6 countries around the world.
INFERNO is a PROUDLY SOUTH AFRICAN charcoal oven designed and handcrafted in Cape Town.
– What are the benefits of cooking in a Charcoal Oven?
INFERNO OVEN has a unique side-opening door which makes service and opening easier.
INFERNO’s cooking area is one of the largest in the industry even though takes up very little space in the kitchen.
The cooking temperature can be set to anywhere from 100°C to 400°C allowing every type of cooking, from baking to roasting to slow roasting to grilling.
Unlike other charcoal ovens on the market, INFERNO OVEN can be fuelled with wood, instead of charcoal, for an extra smoky flavour.
With INFERNO you have the option to control the temperature from 100°C to 400°C by using our built-in airflow regulator. We recommend an optimal cooking temperature of about 300˚C.
INFERNO OVENS are hand-made in Cape Town (SOUTH AFRICA).

INFERNO OVEN BENEFITS
SUPER-FAST COOKING TIMES
Inferno Charcoal Oven can achieve heats of 300°C + in as little as 20 minutes. This means that steaks and pizzas take just a couple of minutes, flatbreads and vegetables less than 60 seconds, and whole ducks or 1kg chickens can be roasted in 20 minutes.
MOISTURE AND FLAVOUR YUMMINESS
The engineering of the Inferno charcoal oven means that heat has four ways of getting into your food;
• Direct heat
Unlike gas grills which only use direct heat; the FULLY INSULATED walls of our Inferno Charcoal Oven radiate heat from the embers, which creates an even, intense heat source that locks in and enhances moisture and flavour.
THE HEAT STAYS INSIDE
Although the inferno`s chamber gets extremely hot, the fully insulated door and walls mean that the heat doesn’t escape out into the kitchen, which makes the Inferno a far more pleasant kitchen companion than other charcoal ovens or open grills in the market.
40% LESS CHARCOAL CONSUMPTION
Inferno charcoal oven’s design makes it the most economical on CHARCOAL consumption on the market. The FULLY insulation and chamber dimensions mean that it is possible
to run a full service on only 2-3kg of restaurant-grade charcoal – 40% less charcoal consumption than an open charcoal grill.
Our main customers at the moment are mainly restaurant or home consumers?
The size, weight, and rust-proof outer also make Inferno Charcoal Ovens the perfect choice for food trucks, restaurants, lodges, hotels, and domestic use (Outdoor kitchens, braai rooms, or Bomas).
