I joined the hospitality industry at the age of 16 working in some of Sandton’s top hotels; The Saxon, The Westcliff and the Michelangelo and Hilton Sandton to name a few. I won ‘Unilever Chef of the Year’ award three times: in 2002, 2004 and 2009 in ‘Team of 4’. I also received bronze in the Salon Culinare in 1999, to name just a few competitions.
In 2008, I represented South Africa in Dubai at the MLA Black Box Culinary Challenge. I joined the Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group in August 2008 at the Radisson Blu Hotel Sandton. In the five years with the group, I assisted in the opening of four hotels; the Radisson Blu Hotel Sandton, the Radisson Blu Hotel Port Elizabeth, the Radisson Blu Hotel Maputo, Mozambique and the Radisson Blu Hotel Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and in 2014 was promoted to Area Executive Chef for Sub Saharan Africa and Indian Ocean.
I joined the Hilton Sandton as executive chef in February 2016
I am a SACA and WACS accredited judge.
