Annebelle heads up international marketing strategy and execution for Spier Wines and Spier Resort Management. (2009-2016).
She has guided the marketing and business team through its trajectory as an international award-winning wine brand and an ethical business enterprise, and her strategic insights have also ensured that the Spier of 2016 is perceived as consistently producing innovative wine ranges – building on the work of the award-winning team of winemakers under cellar master Frans Smit.
Annebelle’s early background in film production and her role as festival director for the Spier Arts Trust (2001-2007) has strongly influenced her creative approach and that of the team she leads.
As one example of her thinking, The Spier Secret Courtyard, a wine pop-up bar concept, won the Best Wine Event Category at the Drinks International Wine Tourism Awards 2015. The pop-up bar was inspired by the Spier Secret Festival held annually over two days at Spier.
