Thembi has over 16years executive management experience in the Tourism Sector. Prior to her current position at RETOSA, Thembi was responsible for Tourism Services at Cape Town Tourism. Before that, Thembi was the Chief Quality Assurance Officer for the Tourism Grading Council of South Africa (TGCSA) and member of Exco at South African Tourism (SAT). Thembi previously worked for Airports Company South Africa (ACSA) in various management positions.
Thembi currently serves on the Boards of Stenden South Africa, Gilt-Edge Khula, as well as Brand South Africa.
Her previous non-executive board appointments include Tourvest, Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) and the Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund.
